Due to optic atrophy, Mr. Nomura has 20/666 vision according to US standards and 6/200 vision according to European standards in the left eye. He is blind in the right eye. Mr. Nomura uses a magnified reading device and is the first visually-handicapped person in Japan to pass the bar exam.
